Welcome to the home of Electric Car British Columbia, the Western Canadian distributor for Global Electric Motorcars, creators of the GEM neighborhood zero-emission plug-in electric vehicle. Located in South Surrey, British Columbia, Electric Car BC has been operating for three years as the Western Canadian distributor for Global Electric Motorcars. During this time, Electric Car BC has played an integral role in the development and implementation of the Low-Speed Vehicle Class in BC, designed for cars such as the plug-in electric GEM.

A pioneer in its class, the GEM vehicle is one of a handful of fully road legal and safety compliant electric vehicles in full operation in North America, making it the benchmark for the NEV industry in Canada. The GEM car aims to be the purveyor of one of the smartest solutions to traffic congestion and air quality problems yet in North America. The solution: zero-emissions personal transportation that is well integrated with traditional alternative transportation choices.
