Oil production is peaking. Over 85 million barrels are used each day, and only 6 million are discovered. British Columbia has the highest fuel prices in Canada, and can expect the carbon tax to double by 2012. Conventional fuel tailpipe emissions include hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, sulfur oxides, and nitrogen oxides; all greenhouse gases, and all hazardous to our health and to the welfare of our surrounding environment.

Electric mobility offers a clean and quiet alternative to our dependance on fossil fuels. With zero tailpipe emissions, and an average of 2 cents per mile as opposed to over 12 cents per mile with conventional fuels, we believe a shift to electric transportation is the smart and sustainable choice.

British Columbia is uniquely positioned to offer the cleanest source of electricity in Canada, along with Manitoba and Quebec, and we fully intend to embrace this opportunity. Through BC Hydro, British Columbians are privy to electricity where over 97% is from green sources. Aside from its economic advantages, electric transportation also offers the convenience of 'refueling' at home, at the office, or anywhere with an electrical outlet. With no more oil changes, internal combustion engine maintenance, or fuel costs, electric mobility is no longer the choice of tomorrow. It is here today.
